Gitlab CI – Deploying an Angular SPA app to AWS S3

Our Customer had a team of really talented developers working on some really next-generation WebUI. The team was working day in and out to develop features for different websites of the company. However, the process of deploying these application changes was all manual and person dependent, there were just a few UI developers with AWS knowledge to deploy it and if they were not around, deployment could not be done. This was a major blocker.

The discussions we had highlighted the following problems:

• Manual Build and Deployment to all environment
• Manual notification by the member doing the build if someone’s changes fail to build or deploy
• Only a few members with access to Build and Deploy Infra.
